Mission Statement

At DRAMADDOX Pictures, we strive to creating impactful and original stories that center the voices of women, queer people, and people of color. Our mission is to produce independent films and imagery that challenge the status quo, inspire meaningful conversations, and reflect the diversity of the human experience. We prioritize hiring and collaborating with talented individuals from diverse communities and backgrounds to ensure authenticity and representation in our work. Inspired by the vibrant and dynamic visuals of K-pop and other eastern media, we strive to push creative boundaries and bring visually stunning stories to life.

ROSIE MADDOX

CO-FOUNDER | WRITER | DIRECTOR | PHOTOGRAPHER

Rosie is the head and one of the co-founders of DRAMADDOX Pictures. She mostly works as a writer, director and photographer, but has dabbled in other crew positions as well. After graduating from the University of California at San Diego in electrical engineering, she attended film school back home in Austin and began her filmmaking journey. As a director, she has directed thriller short, Chained, drama short, After Moon, and, most notably, drama series, Hit & Run. Her most recent short, romantic comedy prequel proof of concept, Wishing on Stars, also just wrapped in the summer of 2024. As a writer, she’s written several screenplays, including the paranormal drama feature, Kaha Akua, which has won awards at both the Atlanta Women’s Film Festival and Paris Awards Film Festival, and sapphic romantic comedy feature, Wishing on Stars, which recently won Best Romantic Screenplay at the Purple Sky International Film Festival, Best LGBTQ Screenplay at the Kosice International Film Festival and Best Romantic Comedy Screenplay at the Houston, Georgia and Austin Comedy Film Festivals, Chicago Script Awards, and the Atlanta Women’s and Atlanta Comedy Film Festivals. She strives to bring unique perspectives to queer and wholesome stories with interesting and quirky characters.

SEAN MADDOX

CO-FOUNDER | CREATIVE DIRECTOR | EDITOR

Sean is a creative director and lead editor of DRAMADDOX Pictures. Prior to DRAMADDOX, Sean was a performer based out of New York and toured the U.S. as a singer for The Cirque Dreams Holidaze Tour and sailed on Norwegian Cruise Line in their production of Rock of Ages as Franz. Since then, he’s created promotional content for circus artists and small businesses, produced his music video, OUT (Austin Under the Stars, Lift Off Global Network), written and directed his short film, Night Knight, and lead the art department for the Hit & Run the series and upcoming short film, Wishing on Stars. Sean recently returned to the stage dancing for Austin-based artist, Arya, at ACL 2023 and can be found singing in his boyfriend’s band under the alias, Keali’i. Sean strives to create memorable and eye catching visual stories that toe the line of seduction and fear with a dash of camp.
